It’s New Years Eve 2018 and four hundred Christians are gathered together at a Victorian campsite to celebrate Jesus into the new year.

They had come from all around Australia for the second annual Jesus People Gathering, a Jesus centred family festival organised by YFC, thanks to your support.

The event exists to promote, encourage and strengthen a growing movement of young people whose lives are sold out for Jesus and the advancement of His Kingdom.

“Jesus is the main attraction,” says festival Director, Jahleel Shelling.

“We eat great food, dance, laugh, worship, cry, listen to amazing artists and hear from speakers.

“People really enjoyed discovering ‘Family’, they dropped the mask, got real with God and each other.”

One of the ministry initiatives birthed out of the inaugural Jesus People Gathering was Children of Inheritance. During the recent festival they launched their first album and led worship each day.

It was their music and the family environment in particular that impacted Lachie who attended the festival after a mate shared the invitation through Facebook.

“Your music has helped our beautiful God bridge my heart,” writes Lachie of the transformation he experienced through the Holy Spirit at the Gathering.

“I was completely freed from addiction, feelings of worthlessness, of not being good enough, or worthy of His love. I have met life long friends, mothers, fathers, sisters and brothers, and I have finally been found! I can’t thank you all enough.”
