WHAT'S NORMAL? EXISTS TO EMPOWER YOUNG PEOPLE TO BE INTENTIONAL ABOUT WHAT THEY ACCEPT AS NORMAL.

Young people today are growing up in a world where sending nudes, focusing on the number of likes you get, watching porn, and being more obsessed about what you look like verses who you are as a person is all normal.

How are we equipping our young people to face this emerging culture? At a time when adolescent culture is moving faster than parents and teachers can follow, what tools exist to guide today’s young people in coming to their own healthy, informed conclusions?

What’s Normal? was founded in response to this question, to engage young people in open ended conversations about culture that puts them in the driver's seat. It’s not about converting, shaming or making them feel guilty; our goal is to get young people thinking. We believe that young people really can come to their own, mature, thoughtful conclusions; sometimes they just need to be given the opportunity and the right tools to support their critical thinking.

We aim to expose, challenge and offer another narrative to this 'new normal'.
