Ann Hodge encouraged us recently when she wrote to share how she first connected to YFC – revealing an inspirational story of faithfulness spanning decades.
Back in the nineties Youth for Christ gathered the churches in Ann’s community to run the Aussie’s Alive program at the local High School.
After volunteering at the program Ann continued to faithfully support the outreach work of YFC by simply doing what she could with what she had.
Ann shares how this led to her selling homemade jams and preserves.
“[It was] an occupation embraced in retirement in answer to prayer,” she writes.
“The question I posed to God was, ‘How can I continue to serve you and contribute to the needs of others?’ The reply heard was ‘You have a lemon tree’.
“And so it was the beginning of a labour of love continuing to support many who work in missions, telling of the legacy we have by grace been given through Jesus.”
The movement of YFC is made up of a diverse group of people who, like Ann, are standing together in the battle for our young people through simple acts of obedience and faithfulness.
What's Your Story?
