We are delighted to invite you to
enjoy a ladies morning tea at the book launch of:
Timeless Instructions on Femininity
and the Education of Daughters
A Book Launch with Cindy McGarvie
National Director of Youth for Christ Australia
Author of Lost Boys: Bring them home
Join us for morning tea to hear what it might look like to “reform the manners of society” in this modern translation of Hannah More’s writings. Her works spanned the era of Jane Austen’s genteel society characterised by definite boundaries between the sexes, and a profound reverence for and cultivation of femininity.
This book brims with timeless wisdom, challenging conventional norms on femininity, even in today's culture. More's ideas - regarded as radical by some, controversial by others - carry the power to provoke change and empower women to embrace their transformative potential.
