From Cindy's Desk: ”This will be my final year leading YFC…”

An open letter from Cindy McGarvie to all our partners and friends in mission.

Dear Friends,

This will be my last year leading Youth for Christ Australia. After 10 wonderful years serving as National Director, I will be stepping down in June.

I have always intended to step down at my 10-year mark, as I firmly believe in passing the baton to the next generation. However, I do not plan to retire just yet. I intend to continue writing and speaking on critical issues impacting the church. I will also remain connected to the ministry of YFC which is so needed in our nation.

I have always intended to step down at my 10-year mark, as I firmly believe in passing the baton to the next generation.

Last year the YFC National Board undertook a thorough search and prayerful selection process and have chosen Paul Bedwell as the incoming National Director.

Compelled by God’s love and his passion for youth, Paul sensed the call of God to leave behind his medical career to serve in ministry to young people.

Paul has been a missionary with YFC for the past few years and currently serves as the Director of our What’s Normal ministry, which addresses the sexualisation of our youth and empowers them with a biblical worldview.

Myself with your incoming National Director, Paul Bedwell who will take on the role from June.

Over the coming months leading up to June, Paul will work alongside me, gradually taking on the responsibilities of National Director.

Throughout this change, and with your help, we are continuing full steam ahead with the ministry—reaching the young people of Australia with the Gospel and providing training and equipping for peer-to-peer evangelism and discipleship.

Thank you for standing alongside us in this mission!

With heartfelt thanks,

Cindy McGarvie
National Director
