You’re changing lives in Australia through creative young missionaries like Jordy

Thanks to your partnership in YFC’s Scholarship Fund, you’re linking arms with passionate new missionaries like Jordy Merry to grow God’s Kingdom.

Jordy recently returned from his second trip to the Northern Territory’s remote Arnhem Land, where your support has enabled him to build lasting relationships among the indigenous Yolngu people group.

“Stories of God’s goodness need to be told…”

“The first time I went out to Arnhem Land for the Jesus School last year, I was adopted into a Yolngu family and treated as one of their own,” shares Jordy.

“This year, we were received with open arms once again.”

Each day, Jordy and his team partnered with a group of indigenous young Christian men to encourage them in sharing the Gospel. One of them was Meryl.

“After a few days, Meryl became more confident in sharing the Gospel and decided it was time to lead his first house-church meeting,” says Jordy.

“By the fruit of Meryl’s obedience in sharing the Gospel among his fellow Yolngu people, my [adoptive Yolngu family] brother gave his life to Jesus!”

Your support will make an even greater impact as Jordy begins using his creative gifts in filmmaking to capture and share testimonies like these to help others discover Jesus.

“Stories of God’s goodness need to be told to reveal God’s heart for humanity”, says Jordy. “How will people know if we do not tell them?”

Your support of YFC’s Scholarship Fund provides seed funding for missionaries like Jordy to partner with you in reaching people for Christ. For Jordy, this seed funding has provided key resources, like a laptop capable of editing media at a high production level, allowing him to share the Gospel through creative media.

Creative producer, Jordy, has been equipped to use his gifts in filmmaking for God’s Kingdom thanks to your partnership.

Thanks to you, Jordy is currently working on completing the Awaken Arnhem Land documentary along with creative resources to engage more effectively with young people online. You’ll see a preview of the Arnhem Land project on Youth for Christ Australia’s here.

“I know the love of God changes people,” says Jordy. And he’s excited that by using our God-given gifts to share His love, together we can “manifest heaven on earth!”
