Aimed at students who are in Year 9 and are at risk of leaving the education system too early through disenchantment, suspension or expulsion.
Also of great benefit to students who are lacking motivation or losing interest in the school curriculum.
The course runs over seven weeks - two of these involve full day trips and five of these are in class for two periods.
Students participate in outdoor activities, excursions, group/individual problem solving, social interaction and discussions (issues such as relationships, communication, self-esteem, anger management, substance abuse, peer pressure, trust, etc).
Topics discussed in light of the student's own personal goals in a positive trusting environment where the students may begin to deal with the issues facing them.
