'AusLife' is a full day interactive, fast paced seminar designed for senior high school students aged between 15 and 18:
Focus on values, relationships and issues relevant to young people of the 21st century.
A complement to curriculum studies, the seminars help to meet the challenges of everyday life.
Seminars are conducted by trained people in cooperation with schools and local community volunteers.
Ongoing support and further information is also made available.
Seminars have at their core the Christian faith.
Seminars are designed to encourage students to think and reflect, ask questions and begin a personal search for meaning and significance.
The AusLife Method
AusLife Seminars are scripted down to the minute, and are adapted to match school bell times.
They are fast - action is fast paced to hold the attention of participants.
They are experiential, discovery-based learning - they encourage students to draw their own conclusions on various issues, and more importantly own those conclusions.
The theme (Goals & Values, Relationships, Peer Management, or Self Esteem) is developed throughout the entire day.
Tools such as interactive competitions, simulation exercises, small group discussions, large group forums, live music and video presentations are all part of the process.
