YFC have developed several different lunchtime events, which are used
primarily as an advertising tool for both the chaplain and the local
church. We organise an event to be held at lunchtime in the school and
draw the students through playing the latest music through the sound
system.
-
Representatives from the local
church are encouraged to come along and promote any up-coming events
and to hand out advertising material they may have.
-
The event can be used to promote the chaplain and the work they are doing in the school.
-
The opportunity is created to
have someone share a testimony or short story to encourage and
inspire the students.
-
YFC will always remain flexible and we are happy to alter these events to suit the requirements of the school situation. Each of our lunchtime activities are professionally supervised and all staff have undergone related safety training procedures and have Senior First Aid Certificates.

The various events are:
Tug-o-War - An old classic activity, which still works well in the school environment. We have a 2-way and 4-way rope, and this activity promotes healthy competition and team building.
Earth Ball - The earth ball is a 6-foot inflatable ball. We play many different games including volleyball, earth ball soccer (in the air), Mexican roll and many others.
Flatbed Challenge - This is a 6 metre square inflatable bed. We bind 4 truck tubes together and get a student in each tube, pulling in a separate direction and trying to reach their corner of the flatbed.
Horizontal Bungee - State-of-the-art inflatable, 2-lane horizontal bungee gives students a fantastic fun activity, which always draws a great crowd and plenty of attention.
