Youth Guidance focuses on 'youth at risk' dealing with young people from disadvantaged backgrounds and those from dysfunctional families, putting them in an environment of love, support and friendship.

• Youth Guidance begins every year with a special Christmas Camp. This camp is provided to the young people for free and relies on the sponsorship of the broader community.


• During the camp the young people build trusting relationships with the leaders and are then able to continue building those relationships throughout the year through follow-up activities.


• It involves large-group and small-group adventure-based camps, mentoring, Bible studies and activities that enable young people to experience positive peer influence.


• All activities are completely free of charge for the young person.

The young people in this program have special needs in the areas of trust, friendship and understanding. They desire to feel loved and wanted but have searched for it in all the wrong places. Their self-confidence shattered and their willingness to trust others impaired by a breakdown in the family unit. God is the answer to their problem and it's His love that we can share with each young person.

Through relationships with YFC leaders these young people begin to learn to trust again and realise that they are valued and worthy of love. Thousands of young people can testify today that Youth Guidance has impacted their lives in a positive way.
