Next Step is about providing support to young offenders (young women aged 10-21 and young men aged 10-14) whether that be in the institution, helping as they prepare to leave or giving support after they leave.

• Helps them reintegrate into the community


• Helps minimize their offending behaviour.


• Conducts weekly programs at institutions to build relationships with these young people.


• Upon release, Next Step workers provide assistance to access accommodation and links to other specialized services.


• Provides practical assistance, mentoring and friendship.
