Your new life can begin as a follower of Jesus.

Jesus gives us his gift of salvation and forgives our past life. It doesn't matter what we've been doing or what we've done. The gift is open to everyone. We can all experience peace with God, in Christ.

To become a follower of Jesus Christ right now, we only need to ask him. Jesus said, "Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. " He also said, ".those the Father has given me will come to me, and I will never reject them."

So if you ask if you can be his follower, servant and friend, you will be accepted. The way followers talk to the Lord Jesus is through prayer. Our prayer should be our own, from our own heart to his.

However, if you're not in the habit of talking to God, use the words below and mean what you say.

"Our Father in Heaven,

I know I haven't believed or had faith in you before but I need your forgiveness and your peace. I now believe that your Son Jesus died on a cross, to pay the penalty for my faithlessness, and then came back to life.

I am so grateful that, because of this, I can be saved. I want to serve you Jesus, to join my story with your story forever, so I ask you to come into my life, to direct and take charge of me forever.

In Jesus' name I pray, Amen"

The Bible says, "Anyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."

So if you have asked him to be our Lord and master, and believe he died to save us, you have now begun a life long journey with Jesus.
