Introduction

The use of various forms of media, both within and outside of YFC, is crucial to the running of our mission. As a national organization, we need to present vital information for the YFC family in a clear, user friendly ways through intranet services, email and web-based inter-office communication. Our in-house training increasingly utilizes multimedia to bring the lessons home.

We also need resources to present the message of the Gospel to young people around Australia, training material for churches, advertising and marketing to our various constituents, news dissemination to our partners and on-line discipleship tools for young people.

Motivational Media

Motivational Media is a dynamic educational and entertainment program that challenges and inspires students about attitudes and life. This computerised high-tech production, featuring clips from the charts and latest movies, directly engages with the young people in a relevant and captivating way.

A great tool for schools who are committed to tackling issues relevant to today's youth in fun and contemporary ways. The presentation deals with many social issues and challenges messages about peer pressure and the influence of media and advertising on young attitudes. It also helps build bridges between students, their peers and teachers, so that they can seek help with personal issues they may be struggling with.

The 40 minute presentation uses over $60,000 worth of audio-vidual equipment. This equipment includes a mixing desk and amplifier, a CD player, 2 x 400w speakers, 3 synchronised DVD players and 3 data projectors. The presentation is shown on three screens each approximately 4.5m wide by 4m tall.

A 'Resource Guide' is provided with the program, which ties the presentation in with the high school curriculum. Schools can choose to use the follow up lesson plans, provided in the guide, during their Health Education classes if they wish.
